Library & Information Services Degree Program

The Library & Information Services Program at Palau Community College is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and effective work habits necessary to excel in libraries and information centers, both in Palau and around the world.

Completion of the program will prepare students for work in:


·   Public Libraries
·   Academic Libraries
·   Elementary or High School Libraries
·   Special Libraries (medical, law, church, business, etc.)
·   Archives
·   Museums
·   And other information-based professions

Courses include
library courses, information technology, and general education.  The program prepares students for entry level and intermediate positions as well as continued study in library science.

Students can select either the Associate of Applied Science LS Program (62 total credit hours) or the Associate of Science LS Program (65 total credit hours).
